Clayton Kroh is a professional editor and speculative fiction writer who lives in the Pacific Northwest. He has worked in the gaming industry for most of his career on titles such as EverQuest, EverQuest II, PlanetSide, Star Wars Galaxies and others with Sony Online Entertainment (now Daybreak Games), and Magic: The Gathering at Wizards of the Coast.
In 2006, Clay attended the Odyssey Writing Workshop in New Hampshire. Hosted by Jeanne Cavelos, the workshop is six amazing weeks of intense writing, critiquing, and classroom study of the craft of writing and speculative fiction.
In 2019, he attended the Taos Toolbox workshop, hosted by Nancy Kress and Walter Jon Williams.
Clay works as a freelance copyeditor and writer. He writes short stories from time to time, and his stories have appeared in publications such as Weird Tales Magazine, Flash Fiction Online, and the anthology, American Gothic.
